Peptide glossary · Lab work and solutions
Aliquot
A portion split off from a solution, usually for single use. Aliquots avoid repeated freezing and thawing, which damages peptides in solution.
In the lab
Each aliquot should be labelled with product, lot, concentration and date. A thawed aliquot is not refrozen.
